Next year’s Premier League ball, manufactured by sports equipment giant Nike, will cost an eye-watering £100 (Rs13,500) — almost as much as the monthly GDP per capita of Pakistan, or what the average Pakistani makes in a month.

One of the most beautiful things about football is its all-inclusive nature; no matter what social class one belongs too, playing football is open to everyone.

Much of this has to do with the affordability factor as the only real prerequisite for football is the 'football' itself.

The reason football is the most widely played sport on the planet is because it can be played in the state-of-the-art academies of Europe as well as in the slums of South America.

The expensive ball is mainly white in colour and has the famous Nike tick emblazoned across it in pink, while the stitching is covered with black lines, along with a few splashes of colour across it.
