KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast a decline in temperature in Karachi from today (Thursday), which may bring some respite to citizens who are fasting in the sweltering heat.

According to the PMD Spokesperson Shahid Abbas, the temperature in Karachi remained at 37° Celsius on Wednesday without showing significant variance. However, the residents of Karachi may experience a slight difference in weather today (Thursday) as the mercury level is expected to drop to 36°C. The heat effect will also be lowered due to winds that are expected to be blowing South West today.

Temperatures likely to soar in first half of Ramazan

Sharing forecast of weather in the upper Sindh, Abbas said, "Upper Sindh is currently facing hot weather conditions". However, he added that heat intensity will decrease in the coming days as the temperature in the region will fall.
