MQM-P leaders Farooq Sattar, Amir Khan file for protective bail in SHC
The judge granted him bail against a surety of Rs25,000 in two cases and another Rs50,000 in the remaining two cases.
Last week, the Sindh High Court (SHC) had granted protective bail to MQM-Pakistan Convener Dr Farooq Sattar and senior leader Khan for 10 days to avoid arrest by the Rangers. However, the two were directed to surrender before the trial court concerned.

The ATC-II judge had on May 16 asked the provincial director-general of the Rangers to arrest and produce Dr Sattar, Khan and others in court in two cases pertaining to sedition, anti-state offences and attack on media houses following the controversial speech by their party founder, Altaf Hussain, outside the Karachi Press Club on August 22, 2016.
The judge had asked the paramilitary force to arrest and produce the suspects 'without' fail as the police were unable to track down the absconders despite issuance of repeated directions.
