An official of the Deans Trade Centre, where Kakakhel’s office is located, told The Express Tribune on Monday that someone broke into the locked office and searched it. He claimed that they took away some hard disks and cameras. "The building administration has been told that it was probably a robbery," he said.
Cyber crime: 'PTI social media activist in FIA custody'
“The office was locked when the staff arrived in the morning but there were signs suggesting that someone had entered it and taken a few things away,” he added.
There are rumours that a Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) team raided the office as such operations are being conducted by the agency against PTI’s social media teams across the country.
Earlier in the day, PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry told reporters outside the Supreme Court in Islamabad that the Peshawar office had been “raided”. He added that the party was not sure which organisation had ransacked the office but he speculated it could have been the FIA.

The FIA, however, has denied these reports.
“There was no such raid against any social media team in Peshawar by the FIA,” an agency official told The Express Tribune.
East Cantt police station officials said they had not yet received any information or a complaint about a robbery or any other incident at the plaza.
