Young doctors resume work at BBH operation theatres
Government representatives are known to have agreed to demands of strikers just to end the deadlocks and then go back on their words. However, YDA, with its May 23 strike deadline looming, said it wants assurances backed by a guarantor.
On May 15, YDA and the health ministry talked in detail and the May 16 call for complete strike across the province was dropped after, according to YDA, the ministry assured YDA’s concerns will be addressed and a follow up meeting will be held in this regard.

“Now, we have received a call from the health secretariat that the ministry was not in a position to accept our demands,” said YDA President Dr Amjad. “This is not the first time the health ministry took U turn on its assurances, happened for the first time but repeatedly after all the negotiations held with the health ministry."
