Identity Issues: Waiting on ID card for 3 years

SHAKARGARH: A labourer failed to procure a duplicate copy of a CNIC after a lapse of three years. Village Maryal station resident Babu Muhammad Ishaq works in Mianwali as a labourer and misplaced his CNIC three years ago. Ishaq said that he had deposited a fee with the National Data Registration Authority (Nadra) offices in Shakargarh three years ago but still hadn’t received his card. “I have not been able to apply for a new job for years,” he said, adding that he had been visiting the Nadra offices every few weeks for the past three years without results. Ishaq said that he wanted authorities to take notice of the incident.
