This was decided in a meeting of the alliance held at Markaz-e-Islami. The alliance, strongly condemning the federal government’s attitude towards the tribal people, asked Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak to call an all parties conference.
FATA reforms shelved indefinitely yet again
“This is total injustice with the people of Fata,” said President of Fata Political Alliance and Jamaat-e-Islami leader Sardar Khan. General-Secretary Iqbal Afridi and Ijaz Afridi of National Party also attended the meeting.
The alliance decided to hold protest demonstrations in Peshawar on May 23 and in the rest of Fata on May 24 to protest the federal government’s decision to delay the much-awaited Fata reforms for an indefinite period.

“The prime minister wants the tribal people to be slaves of the draconian laws forever,” said Khan.
The Fata alliance also condemned the role of political parties who were opposing the reforms in the tribal areas and said: “Since the PTI rule the K-P and an important stockholders in the issue, therefore, it should play a more active role.”
“Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak should call an all parties conference of the provincial leadership to reach a consensus on this important issue,” he added.
