ISLAMABAD:

Intellectual Property Organisation of Pakistan (IPO-Pak) Chairman Hameedullah Jan Afridi has said consumer and inventor rights will be protected by introducing fair business practices and ensuring strict compliance with laws, in order to achieve IPO targets.

Speaking at a meeting on Friday, Afridi said that effective and result-oriented measures will be taken to manage and protect intellectual property rights under different IP laws including patents, trademarks, copyrights, integrated circuits and industrial designs.

Afridi said that countries around the world are focusing on the development of intellectual property systems and contributing to industrial growth and economic development, adding that these objectives would only be achieved through active participation from stakeholders and experts.

GHULAM GHAUSE | 13 years ago | Reply With the use of IPO name "Brands Award" making millions by cheating companies that their Award is also sponserd by IPO even they are using their logo and High officels of IPO also make presence in these commercial awards, There is realty that IPO officials who deny of their involvement in these awards may have hidden support for some personal reasons. According to Brands Megazine, Branda Award were also using unlawfully PSQCA's name but PSQCA authorities their Media Adviser Rehmatullah memon claimed that they are using their name without permission unlawfully and they do not support these awards any more. Now preopripers of Brands Award going to lauch women excellence award and they are approaching high authorities to support their idea and get share in another loot and plunder under goverment officials nose, No body is going to ask that a poor man from bungladesh origon how becomes billionere in Pakistan because of ...IPO.
