ISLAMABAD: All Pakistan Compressed Natural Gas Association Chairman Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha said on Tuesday that they were still waiting for the approval to start import of lightweight 22kg CNG cylinders and compatible kits. Talking to APP, Paracha said that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has yet to give the approval on the matter. “The association is hopeful that it will get Ogra’s nod as soon as the authority completes its board quorum,” he said. “Besides, we are looking for duty reduction in the upcoming budget.” Prior to 2010, there was zero duty on import of CNG cylinders and kits as it was considered a green-fuel.
