Canadian envoy expresses interest in promoting trade

RAWALPINDI: High Commissioner of Canada Perry Calderwood paid a visit to the Rawal International Expo 2017 being organised by the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) on Friday at Ayub National Park, Rawalpindi.

While visiting different stalls, Calderwood appreciated RCCI’s role in promoting trade activities through exhibitions. The Canadian high commissioner said that his country gives great importance to its relations with Pakistan and wants to further promote trade and economic ties.

He assured his full cooperation and assistance for promoting trade delegations between the chambers.

RCCI President Raja Amer Iqbal welcomed the envoy and said that Rawal Expo 2017 was aimed to increase business activities along with providing entertainment to the masses.
