NAVTTC to train 100,000 youth

Decided to impart skill development training to 100,000 youth in the next financial year

ISLAMABAD: The National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) has decided to impart skill development training to 100,000 youth in the next financial year. According to NAVTTC Executive Director Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema, the move is expected to create employment opportunities for youth in different sectors of the country’s economy. “During the last three years, about 75,000 youth were trained in different market-driven skills, whereas training of a batch consisting of 25,000 youth is in progress,” he said. “In order to improve the quality and standards of training, NAVTTC has been selecting best institutions for initiating different courses and programmes.”
