Rescue officials said Jam Aqeel’s 12-year-old son Muhammad Hussain, a student of fourth grade, was playing outside the house along with his friends when stray dogs attacked him. As a result, he suffered severe injuries and was shifted to the health centre in Feroza for treatment. However, he could not survive and succumbed to injuries.

After the incident, police and area residents killed three stray dogs. Later, the family members of the victim and locals staged a protest demonstration against the officials concerned and demanded them to take effective measures to stop occurrence of such incidents in future.
