Speaking on the occasion, Khattak said the e-Ticketing project was an excellent idea to solve citizens’ problems with traffic police. He ordered that the e-ticketing system immediately be implemented in Lahore, adding all delays must be overcome.

“In the beginning, e-challans should only be issued to traffic violators whose vehicle details are as per their CNICs, the IGP advised. He urged close coordination between Safe City IC3 project and traffic police to ensure a streamlined challan system. The IGP stated Lahore Chief Traffic Officer Rai Ijaz and Project Director IC3 SSP Akbar Nasir should personally monitor progress on the project to ensure its early completion and implementation.
