Zardari made these remarks here on Saturday during separate meetings with senior party leaders Qamar Zaman Kaira, Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo and Sardar Latif Khosa.

“PPP will keep pestering the rulers, constantly reminding them of their promises because it is the party of the masses,” said Zardari.
A senior party leader said Zardari tasked party leaders with making things tough for the PML-N government. He asked party office-bearers to initiate talks with other parties to form an anti-government alliance.
A strategy was also discussed to unite opposition parties in Punjab and launch an anti-government movement against the federal government over prolonged power outages.

During these meetings, it was also decided that the party’s protest campaign against load-shedding would continue unabated.
PPP Information Secretary Chaudhry Manzoor and Central Punjab General Secretary Nadeem Afzal Chan were also among those who called on Zardari.
They briefed Zardari about the completion of the first phase of PPP’s campaign against the government and discussed with him modalities of its next phase.
The PPP co-chairman, who reached Lahore on Friday, also visited Pattoki to express condolences with Sardar Asif Nakai -- the son of former Punjab chief minister Sardar Arif Nakai (late) -- over the death of his mother. She had passed away last month.
