A video showing women grabbing clothes off racks at a sale in Saudi Arabia has taken the social media by storm.

The film captures hundreds of women draped in black abayas, struggling to snatch clothes off the hangers and from each other during a sale at a local mall. You can see racks falling to the ground while the women try to outdo each other.

The camera then pans around to show security guards laughing at the situation, joking with a young boy near the entrance of the departmental store while some women stand by as spectators, calmly watching the entire scene fold.

While the exact location and name of the store cannot be from the video, some social media users said it was an annual SAR5 sale at one of the country's popular department store.

It reminds us of a similar incident in 2015 at Dolmen Mall in Karachi, Pakistan when a video had gone viral showing women break down doors of a brand's outlet in the shopping mall nearly causing a stampede.
