14 railway stations to get overhead bridges

Pakistan Railways undergoing a drastic change and revenue of the department has also increased

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Railways is planning to install automatic elevators besides construction of overhead bridges in 14 major railway stations across the country for provision of modern facilities to the passengers. According to sources in the Ministry of Railways, Pakistan Railways has already sent the PC-1 for its final approval. The stations include Karachi, Hyderabad, Rohri, Bahawalpur, Multan, Raiwind, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta, Sahiwal, Okara, Khanewal and Faisalabad. The sources also said that Pakistan Railways was undergoing a drastic change and that the revenue of the department has increased from Rs18 billion to Rs40 billion in the past three years of the present government.
