BAHAWALPUR: Public is suffering and their problems have increased manifold due to the faulty decisions and wrong priorities of the government.

This was stated by Bahawalpur District Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Syed Zeeshan Akhtar on Monday.

Inflation has gone to a level where an ordinary person is struggling for two meal a day, he said. “Prices of items of essential commodities are touching the sky and poor people are dying due to hunger,” he added.

Zeeshan said on the one hand the government talks about prosperity while on the other hand they are carrying out loadshedding of 14 to 16 hours in rural and urban areas.

“Public issues have increased to an extent that poor people can neither live nor die,” he said.

In an attempt to protect their government, the leadership has totally neglected the public issues, he said, adding that four years have passed but the government has failed to provide relief to the people of the country.

The government’s wrong policies have given the public inflation, unemployment and energy crisis.
