LAHORE: The politics of baseless allegations, agitation and anarchy will not succeed, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Saturday while taking a jibe at Imran Khan. “Those against the progress and development are the enemies of Pakistan,” he said while talking to members of the National Assembly. “They just want to achieve their personal agendas and have nothing to do with welfare of the masses.” He added the priorities of former rulers were something else and that was why the problems of masses had increased over the years. “The ongoing progress and development in Pakistan has become a problem for political opponents, who did not pay attention to the problems of people and looted national wealth.” The chief minister said people of Pakistan only wanted resolution of their problems and politically conscious people were disgusted with politics of those against development. “These so-called politicians are afraid that completion of development projects would bring an end to their negative politics,” he added.
