Former Pakistan T20 captain Shahid Afridi on Friday snubbed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and specifically Pakistan Super League Chairman Najam Sethi in relation to the board offering to give him a proper farewell.

In a series of tweets posted on his Twitter account, Afridi thanked Sethi for offering to give him a farewell after he announced his retirement earlier this year.

He said that because of his commitments he won’t be able to attend the farewell even if the PCB plan to give it to him.

“Thank you for the meeting and farewell offers @najamsethi. Unfortunately due to my commitments I won't be able to take them. My desire was to set a new trend. I'm very happy that Misbah&Younis are getting proper farewells. I hope this trend will continue in future,” he tweeted.

He also said that he is happy to see Test skipper Misbahul Haq and veteran batsman Younus Khan being given a proper farewell.

The fiery all-rounder also stated that the reason he asked for a farewell in the first place was so that he could set a trend and because Misbah and Younus are getting one now, he feels he has done his job and hopes the trend would continue for other players in the future as well.

A bit confused aren’t you Shahid bhai?
