"The offer made to Imran Khan is a scandal bigger than the Panamagate," Shah said in a statement on Thursday, Express News reported.
"Imran will have to expose the name of the person extending such an offer to him," he added. Shah went on to add that "if Imran failed to prove [the allegation of being offered Rs10 billion] then he should give up politics."
PTI chairman, Shah added, did not make the remarks in a private gathering and should clarify the same. "He [Imran] will have to own the statement as well as disclose [name of the person making the offer]," he asserted.
Panamagate case: Civil, military agencies submit names for JIT
"If Imran remains unable to prove his allegations, then it means there's no leader more irresponsible than him."
In his statement on April 25, the PTI chairman also said that if the PML-N government can offer him such a huge amount, one can only imagine what they would be willing to offer organisations probing the Panamagate case.
Earlier today, the civilian and military agencies concerned submitted the names of candidates to represent them on the panel to the Supreme Court.
The top court ruled on April 20 that the PM and his sons, Hasan and Hussain, will have to appear before a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to record their statements. The court, however, did not disqualify the PM, citing absence of adequate evidence in the case.
