Persecution of Ahmadis
I thank you once again for your policy of giving some space to the marginalised section of the society.

CHENAB NAGAR (RABWAH):
Thank you for publishing the news report titled “99 Ahmadis persecuted in 2010: Report” in your newspaper of March 18, regarding the persecution of Ahmadis in Pakistan in 2010. However two factual errors should be pointed out. According to the Ahmadiyya press release, 99 Ahmadis were killed in this year, but many more were persecuted for their faith. Furthermore in the second paragraph of the report it was written: “Meanwhile, some worship places of the community were razed, while 28 others were sealed by the government during the last year, the report asserted.”
However, according to the figures compiled by the Ahmadiyya community, 28 houses of worship were sealed by the government since the promulgation of an ordinance dating back to 1984.
I thank you once again for your policy of giving some space to the marginalised section of the society.
