The notice, moved through Barrister Dr Farogh Naseem, read that a full bench of the apex court had directed on March 16 to dissolve the board and transfer its functions to the local bodies.
The apex court had observed: "The non-functional board, which has never performed, should be dissolved by transferring its functions to the local bodies as provided under the Rules of Business."

MQM-Pakistan demanded the provincial government to introduce legislation in the assembly and advise the governor to repeal the law creating the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board through an ordinance.
"We hereby give you three days' time to implement the aforesaid observation of the Honourable Supreme Court," the notice read.
