Travelling is one of the best ways to immerse yourself in new cultures and exploring the different ways in which people live. From new cuisines, to weddings and traditions, to lifestyles, travelling will open your eyes to unique ways in which people celebrate life and how their lives are governed by different customs and traditions.

4. It puts life into perspective 

Many of us take for granted all the comforts of the modern world including the opportunity to go to school and university. Very seldom do we stop to think that this isn't the case for everyone in the world. Modern day appliances, education, and even amenities like hot running water are among the things we take for granted. Travelling to different countries, especially developing ones, can help put your life into perspective and will more often than not help you appreciate the things and opportunities you have.



5. You'll taste unique cuisines you didn't know existed

There is no doubt that one of the best things about travelling to a new destination is discovering new cuisines. Be it China's fried insects, or Thailand's creamy coconut curries, indulging in traditional delicacies from different corners of the globe will introduce your taste buds to unique flavours and cooking techniques.

6. It changes the way you relate to others 

During your travels, you have the opportunity to make friends and interact with people from all walks of life. Doing so will teach you to build relationships with people who are nothing like you and have had different life experiences.
