RAWALPINDI: Two men were killed due to firing between two groups at the Fauji Colony, near Pirwadhai police station on Wednesday. The deceased were identified as Sherdil and Iqbal. According to police, an armed clash occurred between two groups over old enmity that left two people critically injured. Rescue 1122 shifted the injured to Holy Family Hospital for medical treatment. However, both men died in the hospital. A heavy contingent of police rushed to the scene and started collecting evidence.Station House Officer (SHO) Mustafa Kamal Niazi said that the two men sustained bullet injuries on their heads and died despite being taken to the hospital for medical treatment. He said the reason behind the clash was old enmity. The doctors handed over the dead bodies to the respective heirs after conducting post-mortem. The firing incident gripped the whole locality into fear and people preferred to remain indoor. Even shopkeepers and traders in the area shut down their business.
