Police in the United Kingdom have taken British-Pakistani man into custody for allegedly using abusive language and misbehaving with a flight attendant on a Birmingham-bound Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight.

According to reports citing airline sources, a group of two or three men was found smoking in an aircraft lavatory during the flight. When confronted by a flight attendant, they began misbehaving and one of them verbally abused her.

The incident was reported to the pilot, who alerted British police. The police were on hand at the airport to detain one of the men after the flight landed in Birmingham.

However, talking to The Express Tribune PIA spokesperson Daniyal Gilani said he was not aware of any such incident but added, “We are looking into the matter. Further details will be shared as they are available.”
