These women show how there is more power in being calm

It's highly unlikely you haven't seen the picture of Saffiya Khan, smiling with her calm stance and hands in her pocket, up against the face of a member of far-right group English Defence League (EDL).

The picture, taken earlier this month, went viral within hours of being captured. Khan's grinning face and composed demeanor was no accident. In fact, she knew there was more power in calm when facing the spitting rage of Ian Crossland at the EDL rally in Birmingham city centre.

Like Khan, there have been many women standing up to aggressive force, fighting authority in the most powerful way possible.
