Tye is the son of Metallica’s bassist Robert Trujillo and a member of The Helmets. He will play with Korn for their live concerts in Columbia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Brazil starting from next week.
Musicians defy terror with peace jam
A statement released by the band explained that Fieldy was "unable to make the shows due to some unforeseen circumstances." Hence, the band would be joined by a special guest. "Filling in for bass duties will be Tye Trujillo, the 12-year-old son of Metallica's Robert Trujillo and member of NorCal group The Helmets."
What’s truly outstanding is that this tween musician, well-connected as he may be, can actually play the guitar surprisingly well! In the statement, Korn added that, “We are bummed Fieldy can't join us on this run but excited to do a few gigs with a young player like Tye. We look forward to welcoming our brother Fieldy back when we return to the United States in May."
