Addressing a press conference here at the Circuit House, he said that terrorists killed in the tribal area near Dera Ghazi Khan had been involved in subversive activities, kidnappings for ransom, adding that they also facilitated Balochistan separatists and TTP terrorists.
He said that more than 250 criminals had been arrested and 10 terrorists had so far been killed in the Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad over the past one-and-a-half month. He said that action was being taken on the basis of intelligence gathered by security agencies.

A large catche of illegal arms and ammunition had been seized from the arrested criminals and terrorists and 137 cases of illegal arms had been registered against them.
The tribal area, he said, near Dera Ghazi Kahn was at the juncture of border areas of Punjab, Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, adding that the government’s writ was previously non-existent in this area.
Regional Police Officer of Dera Ghazi Khan Rahmatullah Niazi, Imran Muneer of tribal administration of Rajanpur and other officers of law-enforcment agencies also attended the press conference.
