MULTAN: A young woman and an alleged kidnapper were killed on Saturday during an attempt to abduct the former from Okara District.
Sattan Bibi was with her mother walking home from a fodder field in Shahbore village when Amin, Abbas, Iqbal and Zahid tried to abduct them. When Sattan’s mother started shouting, the men opened indiscriminate fire. Sattan Bibi and one of the abductors received injuries and died on the spot. Two other accomplices managed to escape.
Shahbore police have registered a case against five assailants on the complaint of the woman’s husband.
