Four killed, 25 injured in collision in Jamshoro district

Accident took place in wee hours of Sunday in Bhan Saeedabad, a town of Jamshoro district

HYDERABAD: Four labourers were killed and 25 passengers injured in a road accident on the Indus Highway. The accident occurred in the wee hours of Sunday in Bhan Saeedabad, a town of Jamshoro district near Dadu district, when a passenger coach and motorcycle collided.

According to the local police, the coach overturned when the driver swerved to avoid hitting the motorcycle. He failed to prevent the collision and also lost control of the coach.

The four deceased labours, three of whom have been identified as Mumtaz Solangi, Ali Sher Bukero and Rab Rakhi, were riding on the motorcycle.

The coach was transporting passengers from Karachi to Larkana via the Indus Highway. Two children and eight women are among the injured who were shifted to taluka hospital in Bhan Saeedabad and then to Sehwan's local hospital. At least three injured passengers, Sumera Kandhro, Mukhtiara Khokhar and Akhtar Kandhro, are reported to be in a critical condition.

The incident's FIR has yet to be lodged.
