A teenager from Nevada, United States is on a mission to get 18 million retweets.

Carter Wilkerson asked American fast-food chain Wendy’s how many retweets he would need for a year’s supply of free nuggets.

To his surprise, Wendy’s challenged him to get 18 million retweets. “Consider it done” Wilkerson replied.

Since then Wilkerson has heated things up on Twitter. Yes #nuggsforcarter is now trending on the micro-blogging website. Although nowhere close to 18 million, he has been retweeted 1.9 million times.

That’s close to the most retweeted tweet, which was Ellen DeGeneres’ famous Oscars selfie with 3.2 million retweets.

Wendy’s were, however, impressed when Wilkerson’s tweet’s retweets reached the 1 million mark.

The teenagers seems to have found a lot of support on Twitter. Tech giants, Google, Microsoft, Amazon and Apple have also come out in support of Wilkerson. Here are some of the retweets in support of Wilkerson's nugget campaign.
