Trade boost: Uganda to set up warehouse for Pak exporters

ISLAMABAD: Uganda has planned to establish a warehouse at Kampala, which will open a gateway for Pakistani exporters and enhance trade ties between the two countries, according to Ambassador of Uganda in Pakistan Dr Mohamed Ahmed Kisuule.

Addressing a meeting at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) on Friday, Kisuule said bilateral trade between the two countries could be enhanced by diversifying the product range. He asserted that trade must be a cornerstone of diplomatic relations and that the real potential of bilateral trade should be explored.

Kisuule said his country needed cooperation, not assistance, and emphasised that there was great potential for enhancing trade ties in the areas of light engineering goods and pharmaceutical sector.
