Assaulting a reporter: Three CDA employees suspended
The accused had physically assaulted the journalist within the CDA premises
ISLAMABAD:
Islamabad Mayor and Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Shaikh Anser Aziz on Wednesday suspended three employees of the civic agency, including two office bearers of workers’ union, for physical assaulting a journalist within the CDA premises. On Tuesday a reporter Fida Khan was physically attacked by a group of people, allegedly led by the head of CBA Workers Union Mehmood Ali, Vice-President Sardar Muhammad Asif, Tufail Mehmood and some others. While taking strict notice of this unfortunate incident, the CDA chief directed Member Administration CDA Yasir Peerzada to immediately intervene in the matter and take appropriate steps.
