PESHAWAR: Political parties in Parachinar on Tuesday protested against the suicide attack in the agency and demanded that the federal government initiate a judicial inquiry into the failure of the agency’s political office to curb terror attacks.

The protest started from the press club and ended in front of the PA’s office.

The PPP leader Jameel Turi, while addressing the protest, said that agency has faced militancy and terrorism but every time the government has failed to bring in any evidence to satisfy the community.

Turi demanded that a judicial commission should be formed to investigate the terror incidents which have claimed lives of more than a hundred people.

He also demanded that the residents of the Parachinar should be compensated and the injured persons should be paid Rs500,000 each and Rs2.5 million to those families who lost their family members in the attacks.

The protestors also chanted slogans against the PA, APA and other office holders and asked for their transfers.
