Tariq Teddi’s plea against ex-wife dismissed

Tedi alleged his former wife along with some men barged into his house and threatened him with dire consequences

LAHORE: Comedian Tariq Teddi’s plea to register a case against his ex-wife for threatening him with death has been dismissed by court.

On Monday, an additional district and sessions judge dismissed the petition filed by the renowned actor after the police told the court no such incident took place ever.

In his petition, Tariq had stated he divorced his wife Asma Riaz and had been depositing maintenance money regularly in court for his daughter, who was living with her mother.

On March 11, he alleged his former wife along with some men barged into his house and threatened him with dire consequences.

Contending all this was done merely to blackmail and mint money from him, Tariq requested the court to direct the area SHO to register a case against the woman.
