Domestic dispute: Man kills wife, injures son
The incident occurred in Tench Bhatta area of Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI:
A man killed his wife and injured his son over a domestic dispute in Tench Bhatta area of Rawalpindi. Late on Wednesday night within the limits of Police Station.
According to RA Bazaar police, Zulfiqar had been unhappy over the fact that his daughter and son-in-law Afzal were staying with them.
Zafran, Zulfiqar’s son, told police that late on Wednesday evening his father brawled with Afzal.
Domestic Dispute: Man axes wife to death
Enraged, Zulfiqar attempted to shoot Afzal. But his wife Pakhraj intervened at the last minute and was shot instead. While she died on the spot, Zafran suffered a bullet wound.
Zafran added that Afzal had been married to his sister for the past 14 years. Ever since he returned from England recently, Afzal had been living at his in-laws’ house.
According to police, Zafran had been shot in the leg and that his condition was now out of danger.
Police officials added that Zulfiqar had fled the scene and they were searching for him.
