Domestic Dispute: Man axes wife to death

Exchange of hot words with husband over a domestic matter enraged the man so he killed her

FAISALABAD: An infuriated man axed his wife to death over a domestic dispute in the area of Saddar police station on Tuesday. A police official said Hassan Bibi, a resident of Chak No 612, exchanged hot words with her husband over a domestic matter which enraged the man. He hit his wife with an axe and as a result, she died on the spot. In another incident, Naseem Akhtar, a resident of Sitiana, was killed while his son Muhammad Naeem received multiple injuries in a road accident. Similarly, a motorcyclist was crushed-to-death while his friend received multiple injuries in a road accident in Thikriwala police station precincts. The police said a speedy oil tanker hit a motorcycle near Sadhar Bypass. Resultantly, 30-year old Javaid, son of Muhammad Siddique, was killed on the spot while Iftikhar Ali, 17, was injured. The body and injured were shifted to the hospital.
