Sharjeel Memon refutes 'rumours of deal between PPP, PML-N'
Former information minister says he will never apologise to Chaudhry Nisar or strike a deal with him
Former Minister of Information Sharjeel Inam Memom has refuted ‘rumours’ about Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) striking a deal to escape accountability, Express News reported.
“Some pseudo politicians are terming my return a ‘deal’ but if I had done anything wrong, I would not have returned to my country,” Memon said while addressing the media outside Sindh High Court on Thursday.
The PPP leader said all the cases against him were registered in his absence and he has every right to challenge the accusations in court.

He said he will ensure his presence in every hearing and it was for the court to decide about justice.
“I will not request for any exemption from the court proceedings,” Memon said.
The former minister further said his party doesn’t believe in any deal and challenged Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali to a debate.
“I will neither strike a deal with Chaudhry Nisar nor apologise to him. I challenge him to have a debate with me on any TV channel,” Memon said.

He added that the interior minister considers the Exit Control List (ECL) his ‘private property’ and if he has courage, Nisar should include PM Nawaz and his children names in the list.
Memon, who is facing a multi-billion rupee corruption case in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), was briefly arrested by the bureau’s officials from the runway after his flight from Dubai landed at the Islamabad airport.
The former minister returned to Pakistan after almost two years of self-imposed exile.
