ISLAMABAD: The conciliatory committee system can handle cases of minor nature, helping police save precious time and focus attention on more important tasks. This was stated by SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani while addressing an `Open Kutchery’ of Conciliatory Committees of Saddar Zone at the Shalimar police station on Wednesday. SP (Saddar) Zone Hassan Iqbal, SDPO Shalimar Irsala Saleem, SHO Shalimar police station Muneer Hussain Jaffery, senior police officials, members conciliatory committees in Saddar Zone and representatives of traders were also present on the occasion. Abdul Razzaq of the Conciliatory Committee of Shalimar police station gave a number of recommendations to improve the committee’s working. Kiani appreciated the Open Kutchery and urged participants to decide cases purely on merit and with honesty.
