This company will pay you £8,000 a month to travel in luxury around the world

A company is looking to hire people who are willing to travel the world for three months, stay in luxury accommodation and be paid for what has been advertised as the "best job on the planet".

Thirdhome, a Tennessee-based firm that describes itself as "an exclusive private club for luxury second home owners" is willing to pay the successful applicant up to £24,000 to stay in properties which cost millions of dollars and subsequently share their experiences across social media platforms.



For the course of three months, the company will pay £8,000 each month, as well as travel expenses. Although the candidate is allowed to bring along a travel buddy, they will have to pay for themselves. The only thing applicants have to do is send a one minute video explaining why they deserve the job. The deadline is March 30.

As easy as it sounds, the company is looking for that one person who meets the strict criteria which includes social media experience, writing and taking pictures and videos. They must also have an "appreciation for the finer things in life", according to the advert. Unfortunately, those wanting to bring along a pet will not be able to do so as per the rules.



A dream opportunity it may be but if Ben Southall's experiences are anything to go by, it was a very busy experience. Southall won the "best job in the world" contest in 2009 after beating 34,000 other competitors for the job.

"It has been very busy, busier than most people would have imagined, and certainly busier than I had imagined," Southall said, adding that, he had been "too busy" to sit back and reflect on it all very much.
