Tragic end: Accidents claim three lives

HAFIZABAD: At least three people were killed in different incidents in Hafizabad on Saturday.

The police said PTCL worker Mukhtar Ahmad, a resident of Mehdiabad, was working on a pole to rectify faults in the wires when he accidentally touched a high voltage wire. As a result, he received a shock and died on the spot.

In another incident, a villager Mudassar Nazar and his friend Jamshed Ahmad were travelling on a motorcycle when it collided with a rickshaw. Resultantly, Mudasar was killed while his friend was injured.

Similarly, Maqsood Ahmad was travelling to Lakrrianwala Village on a motorcycle when a speeding vehicle crushed him to death.

Meanwhile, Awais, a drug addict, suffered burn injuries when he tried to commit suicide by sprinkling petrol on his body.

In yet another incident, Imran Yasir, a labourer, was shot at by two unidentified outlaws on Gujranwala Road. He was shifted to the hospital for treatment.
