Gang rivalry: Lyari grenade attack leaves 12 injured

KARACHI:
At least a dozen people were injured when unidentified men threw a grenade in Lyari on Saturday night. The incident occurred in the Brohi Mohalla, Singu Lane in Lyari’s Chakiwara area.
The injured were moved to the Civil Hospital where one of the injured, namely Abdul Shakoor, was said to be in critical condition.
Rangers arrest 10 suspects during raids in Karachi
DSP Zahid Hussain said the area where the attack occurred was a stronghold area of Lyari’s kingpin Uzair Baloch.
He alleged that the attack was carried out by Baloch’s rival gang. The police and paramilitary Rangers reached the site and cordoned off the area.
