Man slaughters wife at graveyard

Rasheed takes Sonia to the grave of his deceased wife and slits her throat at the gravesite

LAHORE: A man slaughtered his wife on Tuesday for persistently demanding divorce from him. Police said the man, identified as Rasheed, had married Sonia a few years ago after his first wife died.

Their relationship, however, soured over the years and the couple used to quarrel often over petty matters. Police said the women fed up with her husband’s attitude had been demanding divorce from him for the past few days.



On Tuesday, Rasheed took Sonia to the grave of his deceased wife and slit her throat at the gravesite. A case was registered against the suspect and police are investigating the matter further.
