Jacobabad man kills spouse, friend over 'honour'      

No case was registered nor any arrest made till the filing of this report

SUKKUR: In yet another incident of karo-kari, an enraged husband gunned down his wife and her alleged companion in Brohi village near Garhi Khairo, Jacobabad on Sunday.

Reports state that Anwar Ali Brohi suspected his wife, Ashraf Khatoon, of having an extra-marital affair with Mehboob Ali Brohi.

Consumed by rage, Anwar confronted and shot dead Mehboob at a local roadside hotel. After the first kill, he then went on to his house where he killed his wife and fled the scene.

In 'honour killing', teenager shot dead by brother

On receiving information, Dodapur police rushed to both the scenes and shifted the body of the woman to Jacobabad Hospital and that of the man to Garhi Khairo Hospital.

No case was registered nor any arrest made till the filing of this report.

Two days ago, a woman, Mai Hanjul, was killed and a man injured over the pretext of karo-kari in Ali Shah Ji Dari village. However, it was not yet clear as to who was the assailant.
