LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court granted pre-arrest bail to PML-N lawmaker Sohail Shaukat Butt, who has been booked in the murder case of PPP leader Babar Butt. The judge granted him bail against a surety of Rs100,000.

Sohail’s counsel contended in court the MNA had nothing to do with this case and was implicated in the case merely to humiliate the ruling party member.

He implored the legislator was booked by the complainants owing to an old enmity.

The complainant had alleged the suspects had been threatening the victim’s family with dire consequences to force them into giving up the murder case of their father. The suspects killed Babar with the help of MNA Sohail, Shafqat Ali Butt and Manawan SHO Nasrullah Chatha, the petitioner alleged.
