Three killed, one injured in Lahore firing incident

Victims were to appear in high court for a case hearing

LAHORE: At least three people were killed and one injured on Saturday when unidentified gunmen opened fire in Lahore.

Two gunmen intercepted the victims and opened indiscriminate fire. As a result, the victims and a passer-by received bullet wounds.

The deceased men – identified as Ayub, Naeem and Shakoor – were to appear in Lahore High Court for a case hearing today. The incident took place near Lorry Adda, confirmed police officials.

While bodies of the deceased were shifted to a morgue for examination after death, the passerby remains critically injured. Police officials said witness statements were recorded and an investigation into the incident was underway.

On March, Pakistan Peoples Party leader Babar Sohail Butt was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Lahore.

The former candidate for the Punjab Assembly was attacked in the Manawan area of the provincial capital.

kemosabe | 7 years ago | Reply With the high frequency of shootouts and stone bashings on court premises these days, the authorities should have graveyards on site for the convenience of the deceased.
