GILGIT: The Gilgit-Balistan Chief Minister Hafeezur Rehman said on Friday that his government would introduce an urban transport system to provide better transport facilities to people.

Talking to the media after a function held in connection with provision of free books to students, the CM said efforts would be made to introduce this modern transport system in G-B within next 18 months.

Rehman said his government has started development works in all districts including those where PML-N did not get the mandate.

Responsible charity

Meanwhile, speaking at a seminar, Rehman urged people to carefully donate charity so that it could not go into the wrong hands and be used against them.

The incumbent elected government has adopted zero tolerance policy against terrorism, supporters and facilitators of terrorists, he said at the seminar titled ‘Haq Haqdar Tak’.

He said people should take extreme care while giving charity and Zakat funds and give it to genuine deserving people and reputable charity organisations with clean record so that it can be used to assist the poor and treatment of deserving patients.

He said promotion of peace and maintaining law and order was the responsibility of all segment of the society and the government would not compromise on law and order issues.
