ABBOTTABAD: Two days after a teenage girl went missing from Abbottabad, police have yet to find any clue about her whereabouts. T*, a resident of Muhallah Jhangi Syedan, had lodged a complaint with the Mirpur police that he and his wife had gone to the local market on Tuesday, leaving their 16-year-old daughter U* alone at home. When they returned from the market, they discovered that U was not at home. Perturbed, they searched for her in the neighbourhood but could find no trace of her. Unable to locate his daughter, T filed a report with the police, accusing unidentified people under Section 365 B of the Pakistan Penal Code - kidnapping, abducting or inducing a woman to compel for marriage. When approached for comments, Mirpur police said that they had picked up some suspects from the neighbourhood for questioning but have not yet found any solid leads which would lead them to the missing girl.
