Delegation visit: NAB wants greater interaction with K-P bar council

Chairman says council plays key role in eradicating corruption

The National Accountability Bureau has expressed its desire to improve interaction with various bar councils in the country.

This was expressed during a meeting between a delegation of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Bar Council and NAB Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry at the bureau’s headquarters in Islamabad on Wednesday.

The delegation of lawyers, which was led by the council’s vice chairman Muhammad Sareer, discussed various matters. They appreciated NAB’s role in the eradication of corruption.

The lawyers requested NAB chairman to visit K-P Bar Council when he next visits Peshawar.

During their discussions, Chaudhry appreciated efforts of K-P Bar Council for their role in the eradication of corruption especially through active involvement in NAB’s awareness and prevention campaign since they are conversant with evils of corruption better than the general public.

He also supported K-P Bar Council’s efforts for strengthening institutions. Chaudhry also expressed his desire to improve interaction with the bar council.
