Three militants executed in Sahiwal: ISPR
Terrorists belonged to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and Harkatul Jihad-e-Islami

Three terrorists belonging to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Harkatul Jihad-e-Islami were executed in Sahiwal on Wednesday.
The militants were tried by military courts and convicted for their involvement in acts of terrorism, said a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Five hardcore TTP terrorists executed in Kohat jail
Military courts, which were established under the National Action Plan (NAP) in the wake of the horrific attack at the Army Public School in Peshawar in December 2014, handed down the death sentence to 161 terrorists before they expired on January 7. However, before last week's executions, only 13 were hanged.
Last week, five terrorists belonging TTP were executed at Kohat Jail.
According to the details released by the military’s media wing, the three terrorists hanged on Wednesday were Said Zaman Khan, Shawaleh and Muhammad Zeeshan. While Zaman and Zeeshan belonged to Harkatul Jihad-e-Islami, Shawaleh belonged to TTP.
Said Zaman Khan was involved in attacking armed forces which resulted in death and injuries to soldiers, as well as damage to government property. He admitted his offences before the magistrate and the trial court, following which he was awarded death sentence.
Shawaleh was sentenced to death for his involvement in attacks on law enforcement agencies and armed forces, killing and injuring several soldiers.
Muhammad Zeeshan was involved in attacking armed forces which resulted in death and injuries to soldiers. He admitted his offences before the magistrate and the trial court, following which he was awarded death sentence.
Of a total 161 awarded death sentences by military courts, 21 have been executed.
